The IEEE Communication Society Lebanon Chapter has the following objectives:
- Telecom advancement: Provide society members, professionals, and students that are involved in the telecom sector with more knowledge on fundamentals, state-of-the-art advances, and future trends.
- Telecom awareness: Increase awareness among the general public about telecommunications and its impact on issues of public concern such as business, health, and environment.
- Industry-university collaboration: Strengthen the ties between the industry and academic institutions in order to orient research and development at universities towards telecommunication projects with local/regional relevance and impact.
- Society membership: Reach out to current IEEE Communications Society members in order to involve them more in the Chapter’s activities. Reach out to the students and professionals in order to attract more people to join the IEEE Communications Society.
